Lead in Lipstick: The Debate Rages On

Living the Science is doing something unusual today -- we are sending you to another source for news about toxins and health: The New York Times. Today they published an outstanding and balanced report by Abby Ellin about the continuing debate surrounding the continued use of lead in lipsticks.

Discussed is the renewed debate about its use after the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics released a report in February which showed that one-third of 33 popular lipsticks tested contained lead including lipsticks made by L'Oreal and Cover Girl. Concerned? Read Ellin's Feature.
